Jatinder Singh – Property Mentor delegate

What first inspired you to get into property investment?

property investment expert

I had always seen property as a good investment vehicle, but until I read Rich Dad Poor Dad, I had never known how to become a serious investor.

I didn’t have the capital, I had no experience and even though my friends had made large capital gains from the property market, there was no one to guide me or tell me where to start.

I knew that to succeed in property I would need more than a few books, but a system to show me where to start and how to invest. I needed training.

The moment really hit home when I moved to Bermuda. Everyone who was wealthy had made their money through property, and it was then – at that moment - that I realised that I too could have the same success. I just needed to find a system to make it happen.

What did you do before becoming a property investor?

Before I became a property investor I was a Chartered accountant, but despite the money and the benefits I had never really enjoyed the work or the lifestyle.

It was in fact one of the many reasons why I moved to Bermuda. I was looking for a change, but when I arrived I soon realised that my feelings were still the same – accounting wasn’t for me.

I knew that if I was going to make a change in my life, I had to take action.

So after returning to the UK, I began researching into courses and found Property Mentor’s advert on the internet. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to give it a try. And it worked! After going to one of their taster sessions I was instantly convinced that property could give me the capital gains I had seen my friends achieve. So I signed up to the course, and have never looked back.

How has Property Mentor helped you?

When I first started I thought that the best way to make money in property was through renovation. I was wrong.

Property Mentor showed me the real deal.

By researching and turning property into a rental asset, I could make a positive cash flow from the market, even though we were meant to be in a recession.

They put property into a whole new perspective, and proved that there were still bargains out there. I just needed to know where to look.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to get into property investment?

With good advice and guidance, you CAN successfully invest in the current financial climate. It is possible.

I myself have only been investing in the property market for the last six months, but I have managed to invest in two properties - one of them with a £60,000 saving – and have got a couple more on the pipeline.

The current economic climate is an incredible asset - if you know how to use it - and at Property Mentor we can help.

So if you ever feel tempted to sell your properties – don’t. As long as they are generating a positive income; falls in equity or house prices won’t mean a thing. Why? Because you will have no intention to sell...
