Depending on the condition of your property (and your local authority), you may be able to qualify for a local authority renovation grant. Another alternative you may be able to take advantage of is Housing Associations. They sometimes offer grants and will even manage the property for you.
However, if you have negotiated a strong discount off your property, you should be able to use this extra finance to bring your property up to scratch. Just be careful to not let renovating your property influence its profitable. Do unnecessary renovations to the property or make the mistake of overspending, and this could affect your inital profitability.
