51 Percent Rise In Homebuyer Applicants
London has once again proven why it is a popular property location with estate agents reporting a 51% rise in the number of applicants compared to January last year.
In fact London and many of its surrounding counties have witnessed a sharp rise in property owner demand with viewing figures 44% higher year on year.
So why the sudden interest?
Property experts believe that the main source of this sudden interest has come from property owners hoping to upgrade from an apartment into a starter family home. Looking to invest in larger property investments, many of these property owners are booking viewing just hours after a property has appeared on the market.
However, property experts are advising sellers to view this information with caution and to not go bumping up their asking price.
Whilst property owners are evidently interested in buying, if they cannot find the right property investment at the right price, they are likely to give up.
For this reason, property experts are telling sellers to be realistic with their pricing to increase their chances of securing a sale.
